History Is In The Name
Feb 05 2012 04:43 AM | Mynok in Kingdom News
Something’s name is just as important as the thing itself, if a rose was named boogey mudfoot instead, fewer people would think that it was pretty.
So, the name Tal Dagore is very important to what we are. Tal Dagore is the Elven name for
the city of Triboar, a caravan town on the front between the ogres and humans. Triboar was named after a traveler’s tale of a man that killed 3 boars in one day and then stopped to rest. Their flag has 3 black boar’s heads on it. The people of Triboar followed their lord protectorate into countless battles to stop the hordes of ogres from overwhelming the people of their lands.
And the people themselves are protected by the men of The Twelve. The land around Triboar is special; the forests are the shrine to the goddess Gwaeron. Rangers pray to the goddess to learn what they should do with their talents, and those who are not rangers can
receive her blessing of the gift of the ranger’s ability for the day.
Tal Dagore, the name of our Kingdom and the name of a great city on the front of battle and home to a great goddess. Be proud to say that you are a member of this great society.
